One New Thing #17: 4 Day Liver Detox

I decided to do this 4 day liver detox diet pretty much on a whim while reading Woman Code by Alisa Vitti. She is an expert on women’s hormonal health and I am interested in being the healthiest version of myself. I had also been feeling a little bloated and sluggish and wanted to do a brief diet reset. One New Thing #13: I Try Acro Yoga for the First Time

While I have a yoga background (200 hour YTT in Baron Baptiste style power yoga), I do NOT have a background in any sort of gymnastics (minus classes when I was 8) or circus things that one might want to have when doing acro yoga. Nevertheless, I found a beginners video on Yoga Journal that starts you out with some basic trust and testing the balance moves. It ends in a full on bow pose, so you can just watch the video to see how that goes.

One New Thing #11: Personal Retreat to Virginia Beach

I was supposed to be in Portugal the day after I returned from Puerto Rico. But, as the universe would have it, the Coronavirus (COVID #19) outbreak had just started to really take hold in the US. The day before, 3/11, Trump instituted a travel ban on Europeans coming into the US. The day before that, some things were getting cancelled, but not many. The week before, it was just a thing happening in Italy.
