With a background in nonprofits and many years spent volunteering, I’m very excited to partner with Wine, Women, and Shoes Richmond this year. Wine, Women & Shoes (WWS) is a national organization that franchises fashion events to raise money for nonprofit partners. This year’s WWS Richmond event supports Bon Secours Forensic Nursing.
Bon Secours forensic nurses collect evidence from victims of physical abuse and sexual violence in the greater Richmond area and beyond. They are leaders in their field, providing education to police, EMTs, teachers, physicians and other health care providers, emergency departments and many others, with the goal of identifying and assisting victims, preserving evidence and obtaining justice for the victim.
The event itself will be one to remember complete with shoes and wine (of course!), swag bags and a host of amazing silent auction items (including a closet cleanse from yours truly!).
