STYLE LAB

Stay tuned for the next Style Lab announcement.

Cost: $88.

PLUS, you’ll get a free annual subscription to Vogue[ish}!

STYLE LAB

is a 6 week, self-led style program. You’ll get weekly worksheets with prompts and experiments to work through. You’ll also get access to two group calls with me for support.

You will not focus on trends or purchasing a whole new wardrobe.

In fact, buying things isn’t even the goal of the lab. The focus is on getting into your closet and treating it like a lab! In this process, you’ll learn the structure of your own style through the worksheets (aka: the classroom) and learn how apply them to your closet (aka: the lab).

Program goals:

  1. Learn the four components of your style foundations

  2. Put those components into practice in your closet

Prereqs: None! Be open to practice, experimentation, and seeing what works just as much as finding out what doesn’t work.

Format: STYLE LAB is being hosted through Vogue[ish], my Substack newsletter. You’ll get 1 worksheet in your inbox each week for 6 weeks. Do your homework. Post in the comments (will be open only to paid subscribers) for questions / feedback. There will be 2 group calls via Zoom for integrated support.

Schedule:

  • Worksheets: emailed out every Monday. April 1, 8, 15, 22, 29, and May 6

  • Group calls: Saturday, April 20, 12-1 PM ET and Tuesday, May 21, 7-8 PM ET. Zoom link will be sent prior to the calls.

Cost: $88. Sign up before 3/31/24 with code STYLELAB424 and save 30% - making the program just $61 or $10/week. PLUS, you’ll get a free annual subscription to Vogue[ish}!

If you’re already an annual Vogue[ish] subscriber and want to join, email me for your promo code.

See you in the lab.

FAQ

Q: I want to do this but what I can wear right now is super limited by breastfeeding.. should I wait until I’m in a more normal season of life?

A: I would ask yourself a question that is centered around: do you have the time and desire to prioritize learning the foundations over a 6 week period?

The first part of the program is finding out YOUR specific style foundations: the vibe, your measurements, your colors, your silhouette. The 2nd part is experimenting with those four things with what you already own. Figuring out your foundation is the goal, not necessarily buying things. Once you learn that process of determining each of the 4 style foundations so that you know how to do them again when things change in your life - body changes, taste changes, etc. That’s what I think is really cool about this process and learning it in this way.

And besides, Is there ever really a normal season of life?

the backstory:

A few weeks ago, I was doing yoga at home through my yoga teacher’s program, The Hermit Lab. Inside her portal are nearly 200 videos exploring various styles of yoga and different practices, and you could get lost exploring all of them (this is a good thing!). I was struck by how experimental it all was and that the foundation of yoga is a practice. When you practice something, you do it over and over again until you get better. You frequently mess up. You get inspired. You get frustrated. You eventually get it. I loved that Marge called it a “lab” and I recalled chemistry class and the following labs where you did experiment that often didn’t go how you thought - and that was okay. The whole purpose was to test a hypothesis and see what happened.

And I started to ask myself: what if I had a program that helped people look at their closets, and getting dressed and discovering their style like a lab? If they had a safe place to play, explore, try things out? How fun would that be??

And the seeds of STYLE LAB began!

It seems like so many women approach their bodies, closets, and shopping with dread. There are rule to follow, basics to buy, and trends or capsules to adhere to.

Frankly, all of feels stifling to me.

I have always lived by the belief and knowing that style can be taught. And yes, there are structures and guidelines to know.

But what was missing from my previous iterations of style programs, was empowering my clients determine their style on their own, with my guidance, and giving them space to test their closet hypotheses.

These two things are the strongest factors in creating a style you love and learning how to continually navigate your style as you change.

If you’re ready to take on your style in a fresh, fun, freeing (and structured) way, hop on in. We’re going to the lab.
