Urban Boho

I thrifted this skirt several years ago for $1 and it's been one of my favorite purchases and it's gotten quite a bit of wear as as of late. For the past few months, my work life has been rather dull and I've spent a lot of hours working from home in jeans and a t-shirt. I have been putting a more concentrated effort into wearing all of the pretty, fun, and quirky things in my closet and this urban boho look is one of them!

In other news, I've been hinting at this on Twitter, to a few friends and colleagues, and to my newsletter subscribers, but today marks the first day of my life as a full-time stylist and freelancer. I have been waiting for this day for a very long time and it's the first time in a long time where I am relishing a Monday and all the new, fresh things it can bring!

Has anyone else taken the freelance plunge? Are you thinking of quitting a job to pursue your dream job? Share in the comments - I'd love to connect with you as I go on my own journey, which you can follow through various social media platforms with #chicstripesbiz
